Technology

    • UVC Technology

      • UV light reduces a wide array of harmful contaminants in your home plus reduces bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungi.
    • PRO-Cell Technology

      • The PRO-Cell is Air health’s patent-pending technology to eliminate hazardous chemicals, gases, and odors. Our PRO-Cell filters have a Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) layer that when exposed to the powerful germicidal ultraviolet (UVC) light, it creates a reaction, VOCs, gaseous contaminants, and odors come into contact with the PRO-Cell™ surface. These harmful chemicals are converted to odorless, harmless water vapor and Carbon Dioxide. The HEPA filter captures particles, the PRO-Cell eliminates chemicals, and the UVC reduces biological contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, mold, and fungi. When used properly, the PRO-Cell technology is a powerful air purifier ideal for improving air quality.
    • H13 HEPA Filter

      • Skye is equipped with an H13 HEPA medical-grade filter which are high grade small-particle filters that are typically used in medical-grade air purifiers. Many air purifiers use classic filters which are usually H10, H11, or H12 class.
            • H10 - 85% efficiency
            • H11 - 95% efficiency
            • h12 - 99% efficiency
            • H13 HEPA filters remove at least 99.9% of airborne particles 0.1 micrometers (μm) in diameter (included with SKYE)

FAQs

What is the clean air delivery rate (cadr) of this unit? it only mentions the airflow of 420 cfm, is that the same?

Skye is an AHAM-verified air purifier with a smoke CADR of 293, 288 dust, and 301 pollen. The AHAM organization conducts Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) testing for air purification units and is the industry-standard testing for the efficacy and efficiency of air purifiers.

How often should the UVC lamp be replaced?

We recommend the lamp be replaced every 12 months for optimal performance.

Does this air purifier give off any Ozone, if so how many parts per billion?

We tested Skye to UL-867 standard to determine ozone levels and was approved by California Air Resource Board’s (CARB) strict zero ozone requirement. The Skye unit ozone results were 1 ppb (parts per billion), which is far below the 5 ppb limit of the zero-ozone requirement. Defined by UL-2998 and UL-867, the Skye unit is a zero-ozone producing product. The ozone test standards used for purifiers are UL-2998 and UL-867. UL-2998 is a zero-ozone verification standard that requires ozone emission concentration limits of less than 0.005 ppm (5 ppb).

How often should the filter be replaced?

We recommend the filter be replaced every 6 months for optimal performance.
