The Air Health Haven Plus air purifier unit is designed to emit powerful UVC Band light rays, which sterilize and reduce airborne microorganisms as they pass through a heating or air conditioning system. Plus, the PCO technology removes VOCs before they can travel through your system. It is installed in the main supply or return duct and operates continuously to automatically purify the air in the home 24 hours a day. It is for indoor installation only.

Pre-Installation Prep

Before installing the unit, you need to identify the type of heating and cooling system in your home. This will help you determine where your air handler is located. Click System Identification to determine your type of system.

Once you have determined the type of system you have and where your air handler is located, you need to choose the best location to install the unit. Click Installation Location to determine the best and optional locations to install the unit.

Easy 15 Minute Installation:

      1. Using the Mounting Plate as a template, trace cut lines onto duct. Hold or temporarily tape the supplied mounting plate in the location chosen for installation, and use the plate as a template to mark the duct along the outermost slots in the plate. Alternatively, a 5 3/8” square may be marked on the duct
      2. Drill a pilot hole. (For Metal Plenums Only) - Ignore this step if you have a soft duct board plenum
      3. Cut out the opening for the unit. Cut out the opening for the unit in the duct using metal shears, make sure to cut slightly outside the marked lines if the mounting plate was used as a template. Remove the mounting plate unless you are using it to mount to a fiberglass duct board.

Before proceeding...

If mounting to duct board, continue with steps 1-2 below.
If mounting to a metal plenum, skip steps 1-2.

      1. Tape the mounting plate to the install location. Then, bend both tabs down and through duct at the first bend point. Bend both tabs at the second bend point (up and down) to pinch and grip the duct material.
      2. Poke holes for mounting. Using a screwdriver or pointed object, locate mounting holes by poking holes through the duct tape.

Prep the Unit for air flow type

Up Flow: The unit should be mounted as shipped.

Horizontal Flow: The entire unit (including the ballast) should be rotated to the right or left so that the open side of the “V”
is facing into air flow.

Down Flow: The metal portion of the unit must be rotated 180˚. Rotate everything except the white, plastic mounting base. Follow step 4B below. Unscrew the four screws and remove the white mounting base from the metal flange and unit. Rotate the metal filter housing 180˚ so that the open side of the “v” is facing up. Re-attach the mounting base to the metal flange and unit.

Install Haven Plus

      1. Insert the unit (mounting base attached to metal filter housing) into the duct opening and attach it to the duct (or mounting
plate) with the four included sheet metal screws.
      2. Install UVC lamp into ballast. Wearing gloves, plug the base of the UVC lamp into the ballastassembly lamp socket.
      3. Wipe off UVC lamp with alcohol wipe.
      4. Wearing gloves, plug the base of the UVC lamp into the ballast assembly lamp socket.
      5. Insert the UVC lamp through the center hole of the mounting base. The power cord must be 90° to the view port hole on the mounting base.
      6. With the ballast pressed against the mounting base, rotate the ballast clockwise 90° to secure it to the base. When the ballast
is fully attached, the power cord will be aligned with the view port hole.
      7. Plug the power supply cord into a standard electric wall outlet. Check lamp operation by looking through the view port hole.
      8. With standard duct tape, seal any joints and seams near the mounting location to reduce any direct viewing of UV light.
      9. Place replacement reminder magnet in a safe spot.
